From the Principal’s Desk
I extend my heartiest season’s greetings to all the members of Kendriya Vidyalaya DRDO fraternity.
KV DRDO was established in 1986 by GTRE, a DRDO laboratory to cater to the educational aspirations of the children of DRDO employees, defence and paramilitary personnel and the local community.
From humble beginnings with a small team of teachers and students, KV DRDO has grown into one of the leading institutions of the Bengaluru Region. Today, with a strength of 2,329 students and 86 dedicated staff members, the Vidyalaya stands as a beacon of academic excellence and holistic development.
At KV DRDO, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. While nurturing intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and scientific temper, we also place equal emphasis on character-building, leadership and social responsibility. Our mission is to shape individuals who are confident, resilient and prepared to face life’s challenges at both national and international levels.
Our students continue to excel not only in academics but also in sports, creative arts, and a wide range of co-curricular activities. The professionalism and commitment of our staff, together with the unstinting support of the Vidyalaya Management Committee and parents, remain the cornerstone of our progress.
